StoryLines
In 1192 AD, Prithviraj was captured by Muhammad Ghori in Ghazni, Afghanistan where he took him to fight against three lions. Panicked Prithviraj manages to kill each one of them, however falls unconscious due to lack.
Then, the story flashes back to a few years earlier, when he returns to Kannauj, where Princess Sanyogita, Jaichand's daughter, is infatuated with Prithviraj Chauhan, who is ruling Ajmer. In Ajmer, Prithviraj is brought closer to Mir Hussain, Ghori's brother. Ghori and Hussain were brothers and sisters, yet a rift broke out between them as Hussain lived with Chitralekha, an artist from Ghori's empire, as both were in love. Prithviraj assured Hussain that he would help him and take him into his realm. This act drives Ghori mad and she decides to go after Ajmer if Prithviraj does not send Hussain back to her. Ghori sent Qutb-ud-Khalmar Aibak to Ajmer. Prithviraj rejects Gauri's interest. As Aibak cautioned him, Prithviraj accepted his desire to fight. This resulted in the main battle of Tarain where Prithviraj, along with Kaka Kanha, Chand Bardai and their men were able to overpower Ghori's armed force, yet Mir Hussain was killed in the battle. Meanwhile, Ghori is captured by Prithviraj, but is released within a few days.
Prithviraj Chauhan was elected the leader of Delhi. This made Jaichand upset. He warned that the consequences of this act would not be very good. Jaichand chooses to organize a Swayamvara for Sanyogita and Rajasuya Yagya to expand his realm. He also sends a similar request to Prithviraj, demanding 50% control over Delhi, which Prithviraj refuses. Jaichand decided to build a statue of Prithviraj at the entrance of his territory, as he had rejected the greeting and according to the ceremonies if someone rejects the greeting, an idol can fill that person's place. As the Swayamvar begins, Sanyogita chooses to garland Prithviraj's idol. This made Jaichand upset. He decides to reject his girl, but soon Prithviraj arrives with his army and accepts Sanyogita as she had chosen Prithviraj as her life partner. An enraged Jaichand decides to go after Prithviraj, but he relents on his advice. Soon Prithviraj and Sanyogita tie the knot in the celebrations. After a few days, Jaichand sent his army to visit various forts under Prithviraj. Soon his army captured the Gaudpur fort. While Prithviraj, Sanyogita, Chand Bardai and others are out, Kaka Kanha decides to reclaim Gaudpur Garh with Prithviraj's army. They succeed in recapturing the post, although Kaka Kanha and several other of Chauhan's men are killed in the fight. Prithviraj decides to go after Jaichand, but soon changes his choice, as Kaka Kanha's last wish for Prithviraj was to forgive Jaichand. Later, Prithviraj decides to give equal status to Sanyogita in his court. This choice is opposed by other members of the court, but Prithviraj soon figures out how to gain their support by educating them about the importance of women in the eyes of the public.
