StoryLines
Laurie Nunn created the British teen sex comedy drama streaming show Sex Education for Netflix. It follows the existence of the students, staff and parents of the fictional Moordale Alternative School as they deal with various personal difficulties, often linked to sexual proximity. The series features an ensemble cast including Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Nkuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Alistair Petrie, Mimi Keene and Amy Lou Wood.
The main series was delivered on 11 January 2019, the second on 17 January 2020 and the third on 17 September 2021. The fourth and final series was announced on 25 September 2021, to be delivered on 21 September 2023.
Sex Training has received critical acclaim for its group's presentation, composition, coordination, creative approach, and mature treatment of its subjects. The program has been a viewership achievement, with over 40 million viewers watching the primary series since its debut. Wood won a BAFTA Television Award for Best Female Parody Performance for her role in the latter series, and the third series won Best Satire Series at the 50th Worldwide Emmy Awards.
