Story Line
After the events of the first film, Thomas and Bea are married, and Peter accepts this new chapter in his life. All his friends, both human and animal, are there. After their honeymoon, Bea works on her children's story books based on Peter and his friends with Thomas's help. Peter is somewhat dismayed to learn that the books portray him as "naughty" and does not want to consider the possibility that Thomas and Bea will start their family without him. After that, a publisher who wants to sell B's books sends him a letter.
Thomas and Bee take Cottontail, Benjamin, Peter, Floppy and Mopsy to meet publisher Nigel Basil-Jones. With the exception of a suspicious Cottontail, Nigel takes a liking to the other rabbits, until he presents his marketing strategy to the rabbits, which portrays Peter as a troublemaker. They also see a billboard for a possible Peter Rabbit movie, which gives the impression that he is downright evil.
Peter leaves the group in disbelief and heads into town, where he meets Barnabas, an old rabbit. Barnabas recognizes Peter as his former friend's son when they rob the MacGregor farm of food after causing more mischief. She is impressed by Peter's abilities and demeanor, but they are unfortunately captured by cattle trappers and taken to a pet pound, where they are adopted by a young girl named Amelia. Peter and Barnabas are left in a cage when the family leaves the house after spending the afternoon showering and mistreating them. After Barnabas and Peter are freed, they use Barnabas' entourage to raid the family's refrigerator. Amelia's mother returns intent on eliminating the rabbits before her children return as they attempt to steal food. As she follows them into the city, the animals escape with their food to their hideout and manage to escape from her. Peter is later taken around town by Barnabas, who tells him about his father's habit of stealing in order to feed Peter and his sisters. Peter is then brought home by Thomas and Bea, while Barnabas returns to his hideout. Peter tells Benjamin about Barnabas the next morning and asks Benjamin and his sisters to accompany him to meet the crew. Peter's sisters are recognized by Barnabas, and he reveals all of his grand plans to rob the farmers' market, where they will primarily obtain packets of dried fruits.
