Story
Lindy Lewis, played by Kate Beckinsale, is a former bouncer who has intermittent explosive disorder, brought on by interactions with other people. She is visiting Dr. Ivan Manchin, a psychiatrist, who is using an electroshock vest to treat her disorder, but it is becoming less and less effective. As an alternative treatment option, he suggests she try dating someone. She goes on a date, despite her better judgement, with an accountant named Justin, with whom she gets on very well. He learns that she was murdered just before their next date. She sets out to find the killer as the police seem to have no interest in his death. She steals his belongings from the police station and flees from Detectives Vickers and Nevin in Justin's McLaren 600LT Spyder, resulting in a crash that sends Vickers to the hospital.
